The Journey: How It Works

01. Bespoke Hotel Pickup Your day begins at your doorstep. Whether you are staying in the heart of Cork City or a boutique hotel in Kinsale, your guide will meet you at your hotel entrance at 9:00 AM. No meeting points, no shuttles—just step into the comfort of our premium vehicle and leave the navigation to us.

02. An Expertly Paced Experience This isn't a rushed sightseeing tour. We’ve designed the "Royal & Rugged" route to allow for moments of stillness—whether that’s a second cup of coffee in Macroom or an extra ten minutes to take in the views at Gougane Barra. You are our guest, and the day moves at your speed.

03. All-Inclusive & Stress-Free From the entrance fees at Bantry House to a reserved table and a gourmet local lunch at Manning’s Emporium, every detail is pre-arranged. You won't need to reach for your wallet for anything other than personal souvenirs; your only job is to soak in the West Cork atmosphere.

04. Private Door-to-Door Return After a day of exploring hidden passes and grand estates, we return you directly to your hotel by 5:30 PM—leaving you with plenty of time to freshen up before your evening dinner reservations.

The Vibe: Stately elegance meeting wild, untamed nature.

  • The Sacred Island: Morning awakening at Gougane Barra, where the tiny island oratory sits mirrored in a mountain lake—the ultimate West Cork "quiet place."

  • The Italianate Dream: A private tour of Bantry House & Gardens. Scale the 100 steps for a view of Bantry Bay that rivals any in Europe.

  • Artisan Lunch: A final stop at Manning’s Emporium for a memorable lunch and a chance to sample the cheeses and chutneys that made West Cork famous.

  • The Mountain Pass: Return via the Pass of Keimaneigh, a dramatic rock-walled canyon that feels like a gateway to another world.

Rough Itinerary

You are in charge so we can spend more or less times at each location as you desire.

  • 09:00 AM – Departure: Leave Cork City or Kinsale.

  • 09:45 AM – Macroom Caffeine Stop: A 20-minute break for coffee and facilities.

  • 10:45 AM – Gougane Barra: 45 minutes to explore the lakeside oratory and take photos.

  • 12:00 PM – Bantry House & Gardens: 90 minutes to tour the house and climb the "Hundred Steps" for the bay view.

  • 01:45 PM – Lunch at Manning’s Emporium: A relaxed 75-minute sit-down meal.
